Therapeutic Riding relies heavily on a strong volunteer base. Opportunities for community service and volunteering are extensive. We accept volunteers 16 years and older, and would consider a young person over 14 who has horse handling experience. Our volunteer coordinator is currently working on a volunteer curriculum and program schedule for those interested in making horseback riding universally accessible.

A volunteer works with Uly to get his horse ready for his lesson. Volunteers have an opportunity to be a rider, a side walker, and a horse leader. In some cases, three volunteers are needed for one rider to be safe. |
